Why can't Conservatives understand nobody forced the banks to make any loans these last 8 years?

Actually the old C-span videos on you tube from 2003 show republicans pushing for regulations and the democrats playing the race card denying that Fannie and Freddie had problems. I believe the gov forced the banks in the beginning (1990's) and said they would insure their risk, then banks got greedy and the government paid the price for their deal with the devil. Plenty of blame to go around both parties.
