I really need advice...is this Oral Surgeon too cheap to be good? Is my dentist wrong?

Just because he is charging half of the cost of the general anesthetic does not mean he is unqualified. Some dentists fees are less than others due to several factors,office overhead being one of them. See if you can find any good recommendations from previous patients. Good luck
