Does virtual-luxury excel as a rehab method for mid-level prisoners?
The concept of virtual luxury means to have extreme pleasures for a marginal cost. Case example is John, who is serving time for bank fraud. John committed the crime to have instant money for a vacation, a boat, and a supply of liquor. Inside the prison he is exposed to unstable and angry inmates. The prognosis seems to get worse. My solution is to have marginally-priced luxuries in the prison such as a spa inside the prison, mage, tea, yoga, The Tao, and nutritional supplements. The philosophy that makes it possible is "a realistic luxury for only a few dollars". To John, a hot bath in a large tub and a mage is worth thousands of dollars, in the environment of prison. It makes him think of a productive and honest life after his sentence. Virtual luxury is awarded to prisoners for good behavior. I believe this method could be the catalyst to a much better psychology and attitude of inmates.
